Founder, President, and Portfolio Manager
David was born and raised in Wisconsin. He graduated from Calvin College in 1975, and in 1977 he received his masters degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
Prior to founding TLW, he spent 19 years at Robert W. Baird in Omaha. This is where he crafted and developed his approach toward investing. 2022 marks David’s 39th year in the business and he doesn’t plan on retiring anytime soon.
With almost 4 decades of experience under his belt, David feels his career is just now getting started. He wants to continue to work and learn for the rest of his life. He hopes to be like Warren or Charlie and continue to do what he loves as long as his mind will let him.
David and his wife, Denise, have three grown children and enjoy a very active outdoor lifestyle including tennis, biking, fishing, and the beach.
